The 18th Annual Panasonic Gobel Awards honoring the favorite in Indonesian television programming/production work/individual, was held on May 28, 2015, at the Grand Ballroom Fairmont Hotel in Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta. Three of presenter Syahrini, Daniel Mananta and Deddy Corbuzier were hosting for the ceremony awards, whose list of awards presented including American recording artist Tommy Page.[1] This year edition of ceremonies awards was themed for Drama Kehidupan (Life Drama)[2] and broadcast live on RCTI and MNCTV. Global TV was re-aired for this awards show on May 30.

This ceremony awards year adding five new categories (including Favorite Special Event category), so that the totally of this categories were reached 27 from the prior category totally 22. For categories for Favorite Religious Program and Favorite Religious Program Host, the Panasonic Gobel Awards giving award for all nominees to consider input from the public, which previously criticized by Ulama.[3]

Television Film Aishiteru earning a Special Award for considered to have a good quality and also dedication for laden with moral message about both of countries Indonesia and Japan.[4]

Controversy

During the ceremony, Julia Perez appointed to recited nominations for Infotainment Program with Ayu Ting Ting and Zaskia Gotik. Since announcing to a winner, she had incorrectly to opened envelope even the winner is a presenter Feni Rose, due to mostly jokes.[6] Until, Syahrini dissing to her: "That's because you're wrong opening the enveloped. Why? you are too many jokes. So, now we'll see what the winning infotainment program".[7] Finally, Julia apologizes to public in her account Twitter for mistakes of that incident.[8]
