The 1959 Detroit Titans football team represented the University of Detroit in the 1959 college football season. Detroit was outscored by its opponents by a combined total of 199 to 139 and finished with a 6–4 record in its first year under head coach Jim Miller.[1][2]
Seven players from the 1959 Detroit team went on to play in the NFL: Grady Alderman, Bruce Maher, Ernie Fritsch, Larry Vargo, Jim Shorter, Steve Stonebreaker, and Frank Jackunas.
