These are the official results of the Women's 5,000 metres event at the 1995 World Championships in Gothenburg, Sweden. It was the first time at the World Championships that women competed on the 5000 m distance instead of 3000 m. There were a total number of 51 participating athletes, with three qualifying heats and the final held on Saturday 1995-08-12.
