A Thousand Faces is a concert dance play by British dancer Amina Khayyam.

Summary

A Thousand Faces is a story of women who are discriminately attacked because of their gender, often caught up within cultural expectations.

Overview

A Thousand Faces explores what independence has meant for Bangladeshi women – and if 'freedom' is a notion that they can identify with using dance, costume[1] and puppetry.[2]

The dance piece that uses Kathak's intricate and detailed theatrical movements of abhinaya. The production aims to raise awareness of acid violence.[3][4]
