Abdirahman Koronto[1] is a senior multi-media broadcast journalist working with the BBC. He currently leads the Somali section of the BBC as the Output Editor. He is regarded as a responsible and highly professional journalist. He has been a member of the media for over 25 years.

Education

Abdirahman studied at the University of Westminster in London, UK. He is currently studying for his MA in International Broadcast Journalism at Open University. In his youthful years, he graduated from Yusuf al-Kowneyn.

Work experience

Abdirahman worked as a broadcast journalist at Radio Mogadishu in the 1990s before joining the first privately owned radio station in Somalia, Radio HornAfrik. He became director of programmes in both radio and TV and joined the BBC Somali Service in June 2000.
