Abhishek Singh is a Member of parliament, Lok Sabha from Rajnandgaon (Lok Sabha constituency) in Chhattisgarh, India.[1] He is the son of Raman Singh, the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh. He was elected to Lok Sabha in May 2014 as a candidate of Bharatiya Janata Party.

Early life

Abhishek Sngh was born on 5 March 1981 at Kawardha. He is the son of Raman Singh and Veena Singh.[2] He did his B.E from GEC, Raipur. He later completed his M.B.A. from XLRI- Xavier School of Management.[3]

Political career

In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, he defeated Kamleshwar Verma of Indian National Congress by a margin of 235,911 votes.[4] At the age of 33, he became the youngest MP in Chhattisgarh's history. In 1999, his father had won from the same Rajnandgaon constituency by a margin of 26,715 votes.[3]
