Plot

Maria and Vasin do not realize that in a parallel world they have a different life. Wonderful life, where well formed what they seem to be lacking today.

Part one. A pilot. Maria rejected a marriage proposal of air force lieutenant Vasin 20 years ago. Today she is in love with him, but it's too late. Pilot Vasin regrets he did not become a film director as he could.

Part two. A film director. Maria married Vasin 20 years ago. He became a film director. Are they happy?

Production

Filming had been going for one month (18 production days), took place in Moscow and was completed on 9 May 2013. The first screening took place in RIA Novosti press-center on October 12, 2013.[2] The film has got a considerable positive feedback.[3] The film age rating is 12+.

Distribution

The official premiere was in “35mm” cinema theater (Moscow)[4] on October 16, 2013. Premiere in St. Petersburg was on October 31, 2013.[5] The film was available in theaters of 18 Russian cities via Cinema Park cinema theaters network[6] and in "35mm", "Khudozhestvenniy”, "Rodina”, "Dom kino”, "Slava” cinema theaters till November 28, 2013. On the 45th week of 2013 the film was #2[7] on the Russian box office chart in limited release category.

Festivals

The film opened the IVth ”Drugoe Kino” festival.[8] On November 7, 2013 the film was shown on the 10th International Charitable Film Festival "Luch Angela” (Moscow).[9] The film was selected to the XXIInd St. Petersburg International Film Festival "Festival Festivaley",[10] which had been held on June 23–29, 2014. Also the film was included into competitive program of arthouse movies festival "Kinolikbez"-V,[11] which took place in Barnaul on the 14–17 May 2014. The film was accepted to the competition in the XVth International TV and Movies Forum "Vmeste" [12] held on August 22–28, 2014 in Yalta. The film was included into the programme of the VI-th National Award «Strana» ceremony,[13] which took place from 17th to 19 March 2015, during the "Moscow Teleshow" content market.

Media

The film was released via VOD online services on December 3, 2013. Since January 1, 2014 the film has been available online free of charge. It was the first feature film in the Russian Internet segment available in ultra-high 4K definition.[14][15]

TV

The official premiere on TV was on August 16, 2014 on the "Our New Films" NTV Plus Channel,[16] since then the film has been demonstrated on the channel from time to time. From October 18, 2014 the film was broadcast on TV1000 "Russian Kino",[17] from October 26, 2014 - on "Nashe HD" Channel, Tricolor TV.,[18] from February 7, 2015 - on «Mir» TV Channel.[19]
