Acupuncture Records is an independent record label based in China. Founded in 2007 by Miao Wong, it has released albums in the genres of techno, and operates clubs and a large number of small raves. Wrote News China, the label is "one of China’s first EDM record labels. The dozen past and present members of Wong’s Beijing-based stable of DJs and producers have been involved in almost every electronic music-related project in China’s history." In 2009, the label founded INTRO Beijing, the first open air electronic music festival in China. Wrote China Music Radar, "Electronica, and particularly minimal, has been engulfing Beijing in recent times, largely due to the enthusiasm of the Acupuncture crew."[1]
