Advertising.com is an online advertising company based in the United States. Established in 1998 with the name TeknoSurf.com, by Scott and John Ferber, it was renamed Advertising.com in January 2000.[1] It was acquired by AOL on June 24, 2004 for $435 million.[2]

The company came together in October 2008 with other technology companies Tacoda, AOL, Buy.at and Quigo under the banner of Platform-A. In May 2015, Verizon acquired AOL and merged the website on Verizon's advertising platform.[3]

When Tim Armstrong joined AOL as CEO, he killed the Platform-A brand and re-branded the advertising portion of AOL's business as "AOL Advertising". Advertising.com fits under this umbrella.

The Advertising.com business is still largely based out of Baltimore, located in the Highlandtown neighborhood, at 3700 O'Donnell St.
