Aedia arctipennis is a species of moth of the Noctuidae family. It is found in Indonesia (Tenimbar Islands)[2] and Australia, where it has been recorded from Western Australia, the Northern Territory and Queensland.
The wingspan is about 30 mm. The forewings are fawn with a vague pattern. The hindwings are off-white with black submarginal bands.
The larvae feed on Ipomoea pes-carpae. They are speckled grey with yellow stripes outlined in black. The head is grey with black dots. Full-grown larvae reach a length of about 30 mm. Pupation takes place underground in a cocoon.[3]
