Aidan Smith (born 11 May 1997) is a Scottish footballer who plays as a striker for Annan Athletic, on loan from Queen of the South.

Career

Born in Dumfries, Smith began his career at hometown club Queen of the South. He was first named in a match-day squad on 24 August 2013, remaining an unused substitute in the team's 2–0 defeat at Hamilton Academical in the Scottish Championship;[1] he was named for six more games that season, but did not play in a single one.

On 6 March 2015, Smith made his debut in the quarter-finals of the Scottish Cup, replacing Gavin Reilly for the final 11 minutes of a 0–1 home defeat to Falkirk.[2] Four days later he made his league debut away to Rangers; again replacing Reilly in the 83rd minute, three minutes later the 17-year-old scored his first career league goal, exploiting a mistake by goalkeeper Lee Robinson to earn a 1–1 draw.[3]

Smith moved on loan to Annan Athletic for the first half of the 2016–17 season.
