Alex Grech

Alex Grech (born in Qormi on May 1, 1965) is a Maltese DJ. In 1996 he conducted the radio show Reflex on Radju Mas. In January 2000, he moved the show to 88.7FM Capital Radio in Malta. The station closed on 1 April 2009 and, three months later, Grech joined Smash Radio 104.6FM to present Reflex. He is also a radio presenter on Super One 92.7FM.

He presented Retro TV on Family TV from October 2008 to June 2009.

Biography

In 2004, he took around 55 Maltese Duran Duran fans to the band's concert at Wembley Arena. The band asked to meet him to acknowledge his efforts.

In 2006, The Rifffs, a Maltaese band from the 1980s, reunited and played live in concert for two nights during Reflex.

In September 2007, Grech and Reflex Promotions in colloboration with Nuwavemalta organised a massive 1980s event in Malta called Reflexmania with special guest Marc Almond (former Soft Cell singer) performing live.

Grech ended the years 2010 - 2014 with New Year's Eve parties at the MFCC (Ta' Qali) playing a five-hour set in front of more than 3,000 fans.

In 2014, Grech celebrated the Reflex 80's Party anniversary. His first was on 18 March 2004; ten years on Grech invited the singer Marc Almond to perform again at his Reflex Party 10th Anniversary (18 March 2014), playing to a full house at Gianpula.

Grech studied media and communications (honours degree) at the University of Malta and graduated in 2015.
