Alexei Sergeevich Smirnov (born January 28, 1982 in Tver, Soviet Union) is a Russian professional ice hockey player. He is a centerman for Khimik Voskresensk in the Russian Major League.

Playing career

Smirnov was drafted 12th overall in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft by the Anaheim Ducks. He played 52 games for the Mighty Ducks.

Personal

Has a 6-year-old son, Patrick.

The family lives in Malibu and St. Louis during the off-season.
