The 2011 ESB GAA Hurling All-Ireland Minor Championship was the 81st edition of the All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship since its inception in 1928. Games were played between 9 April and 4 September 2011.

The championship

Overview

The All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship of 2011 will be run on a provincial basis as usual. It will be a knockout tournament with pairings drawn at random in the respective provinces - there will be no seeds.

Each match will be played as a single leg. If a match is drawn a period of extra time will be played, however, if both sides are still level at the end of extra time a replay will take place.

The 2011 All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship Final took place in Croke Park, Dublin on Sunday, 4 September 2011. It was the 81st All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championships Final and was played prior to the 2011 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship Final. Kilkenny are the defending champions, having beaten Clare on a scoreline of 2-10 to 0-14 in the 2010 final. Galway won the match after a 1-21 to 1-12 win against Dublin.[1][2]
