Amata nigriceps is a species of moth of the family Erebidae[1] It is found in Australia.,[2] where it has been recorded from Queensland and New South Wales.

The wingspan is about 30 mm. Adults are black with transparent windows in the wings. The abdomen has black and yellow bands.[3]
