Amycolatopsis is a genus of high GC-content bacteria within the family Pseudonocardiaceae.[4]
These produce epoxyquinomicin C, a weak antibiotic and anti-inflammatory agent, and vancomycin, an antibiotic used for infections resistant to other antibiotics.
