Anchimolius

Anchimolius was an ancient Spartan, son of a person named Aster.[1]

The ancient historian Herodotus stated the Lacedaemonians entrusted him with expelling the sons of Pisistratus the Pisistratidae by the use of an army. On the execution of his command, Anchimolius was met with an allied force of Thessalians and Pisistratidae and was subsequently killed.[1]

Anchimolius was interred at Alopecae in Attica, [1] which is the same place as the birthplace of Socrates. [2]
