Andranik Avetisyan (Armenian: Անդրանիկ Հովհաննեսի Ավետիսյան; was born 28 December 1968, in Gyumri) is an Armenian artist,[1] businessman[2] and a collector of art works. The main subjects of his works[3] are life, human relations, space, and beginning.

He noticed the spider web[4] in the corner of the window in his studio.[5] Then a great idea came to his mind to create a picture[6] of a spider[7] web . And he began to study the life of the spiders [8]and the structure of their web.[9] After that he began to breed the spiders[10] and to use their webs in order to create the pictures Andranik's works[11] are made of real web[12] which brought the artist[13] the fame quickly in the world .He is a founder of these real web[14] pictures.[15]

Andranik Avetisian (Ado) says: "Spider web, in nature is a picture of energy making a connection among all the objects the universe".

Biography

His father Hovhannes Avetisyan[16] was an artist and his mother is a housewife. He was taught painting by his father who worked and had his gallery and studio at the same school where Andranik studied and by art critic R.Ajemyan. In 1975, he started school and left in 1985. In August 1985, he started work at the cotton-mill as a locksmith. In 1986, he went to Gyumri State Pedagogical Institute and started his creative work at the same time. In 1987, he joined the army in the USSR frontier forces and stayed there for two years. After his military service he continued his education at the Gyumri State Pedagogical Institute . He graduated from Institute as a computer teacher. In 1991, he started work at the enterprise " ARMVTORCHERMET " as a manager of the base. In 1996, he acquired 76.2% of shares and now he is a president of "ADO WOLF" enterprise. He lives in Gyumri, Shirak Province. He is married.
