Annur Rahman (Bengali: আননূর রহমান) is a Bangladeshi entrepreneur and software engineer. Rahman is best known for developing education based web media named varsityadmission,[3] later renamed as EduIcon.[4] He is the managing director of Solar Software Solution.[5]

Early life

Rahman was born at Pabna, and finished his schooling from Govt. Edward College, Pabna in 1991. He got admitted in Computer Science & Engineering at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology and completed in 1999.[6]

Career

After completing his undergrad studies, Rahman joined a software firm named Proshika as a software engineer. He left the job and joined Queens University (Bangladesh) for teaching undergrad studies. In 2001, he started his own start-up company, named Solar Software Solution where he is CEO now. Around 2003, he first developed education content based website, varsityadmission, later renamed to EduIcon. It is the top education related web content, which awarded National ICT Award under the Category of e-learning & Education for promoting education content, admission and university information from Ministry of Information, Communication and Technology of Bangladesh in 2010.[7][8] United Nations also recognized this education website as good source of funding & scholarships for Bangladesh [9]

He educates and presents about how to develop website, earn online through website development, out-sourcing, data-entry and become a freelancer[10][11]

His other notable development for free web media are mbbsdoctor,[12] rashi12, badhonhara.

Personal life

Rahman is married and they have one daughter Nashid and one son Kabid.
