The Ansar Brigade (Arabic: لواء الانصار), also called the al-Ansar brigade, Liwa al-Ansar or Liwaa al-Ansar, is a Syrian rebel group. The group was created in September 2012, in the countryside west of Aleppo.
History
The formation of the group was announced on 10 September 2012.[1] In December 2012, the group was known for producing homemade armored vehicles.[2] In June 2013, the group joined several other rebel groups and formed the 19th Division of the FSA.[3]
