"Are You Ready to Be Heartbroken" is a song by Lloyd Cole and the Commotions from the 1986 album Rattlesnakes.[1][2]
The song was covered by Sandie Shaw in 1986.[3][4] Her version reached number 68 in the UK Singles Chart in June that year.[5]
In 2006, Camera Obscura made an answer song called "Lloyd, I'm Ready to Be Heartbroken".[6][7]
Cole's original version of the song appeared on the 2013 indie-pop compilation album, Scared to Get Happy: A Story of Indie-Pop 1980-1989.
