Assembly of God Church School was established in 1964, located in Kolkata, India. It takes the Indian Council of Secondary Education Examination. The school motto is "My Utmost For His Highest".

The school is organized by The Assembly of God Church of East India, which is a registered Society under the West Bengal Societies Registration Act, 1961, is recognized by the Department of Education, Government of West Bengal and is affiliated to the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi

The school opened its doors on 20 January 1964 with 230 students and 16 teaching staff.Mr. James Elloy, the then Deputy Secretary of Education, presided at the opening.

In the beginning there was only the front portion of the school building at Royd Street on a site formerly used for grazing cattle. At the back was an aluminum Quonset hut used as a nursery class.

From June 1986, the Secondary School and Junior College sections were housed at the Buntain Education Centre, 125/1, Park Street while the Junior School Section (Nursery- Class 6) remained at 18/1, Royd Street, Calcutta-16. A separate Afternoon Session, which opened in June 1987, also functions from these premises.

The Assembly of God Church in West Bengal now comprises 18 educational institutions and training colleges.

The Senior School also includes the National Open School Section which enrolls students for the Bridge/ Foundation, Secondary and Senior Secondary courses. This begun in 1993 and was granted affiliation by the National Open School, New Delhi in 1994.

A Special Unit for children with Dyslexia and other learning disabilities was opened in September 1992. This caters for the needs of these children and attempts to help them rejoin the mainstream of education.

The school is co-educational.

Curriculum

The subjects taught under ICSE syllabus include English, Vernacular, Environmental Education, History, Civics, Geography, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry etc. In addition to this, the students participate in Socially Useful Productive Work (SUPW) and Community Services.
