AssuredPartners NL (formerly Assured Neace Lukens) is an insurance brokerage firm founded in 1991 by John Neace and Joe Lukens. With headquarters in Louisville, Kentucky,[1] the firm has more than 175 licensed agents and more than 900 employees[2] operating in 37 offices.[3]
As of July 2011, Neace Lukens was the 24th largest private insurance firm in the country as ranked by Business Insurance magazine.[4] Neace Lukens was acquired by AssuredPartners, Inc. in September 2011;[5] AssuredPartners, Inc., in turn, is owned by Apax Partners.[6]
Leadership
The firm was founded in 1991 by John Neace and Joe Lukens. As of 2012, Larry Schaefer is the firm's president.[7] Todd Stocksdale is the company's COO.[8]
Acquisitions
In 2012, AssuredPartners NL acquired a number of local insurance firms in the South and Midwest: First Carolina Risk Management Advisors,[9] Benefit Concepts Inc.,[10] Morehead Insurance,[11] Matrix Benefits and Consulting Group,[12] Arison Insurance Services, Inc.,[13] Jenkins Insurance Service[14] Berryman Insurance [15] It had previously acquired Ohio Benefit Group LLC,[16] Lent Agency;[17] Plamp-Keen Agency Inc.,[18] and the Phoenix office of The Horton Group.[19] Additional acquisitions include: Gosnell Agency,[20] Davis-Garvin,[21] Schroeder Agency,[22] Insurors,[22] Buckley & Co.,[23] Creech & Stafford,[24] Turner & Hamrick, LLC[25] Premiere Coastal Insurance Group,[26] Hukill Hazlett Harrington Agency,[27] First Palmetto Insurance Agency,[28] Colonial Insurance Agency,[29] Greater South Agency,[30] Bandy Van Cleave & Williamson,[31] Western Rivers Insurance[32] and Bohannon-Meyer Insurance, Inc.[33]
