The Aston Martin Rapide Bertone Jet 2+2 is a production car of ONE designed by Barry Weir. It was shown at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. A collector named Barry commissioned the one-off build and helped in its build.[1] This car was to be put into production with Aston Martin and Bertone. However Bertone went into recievership and the production idea shelved. The original Aston Martin DB4 GTS Jet 2+3 was launched back in 1968. The second generation is based on the Aston Martin Rapide. There were just 20 built of the first generation and only one of the current generation.
Technical details
The Rapide Bertone Jet 2+2 gen 2 is based on the same platform as Aston Martin Rapide. It is powered by a 6.0-litre V12 engine. The car has a new estate like rear end. It has a panoramic sunroof the full length of the car and more headroom. It is smart glass which can change its colour from blue to clear at the touch of a switch. The floor moves forward creating a full estate. The rear seats folding flat.
