Attack is a 2016 Telugu political thriller film written, and directed by Ram Gopal Varma and produced by C. Kalyan.[1] It features Manchu Manoj and Surabhi playing the lead roles[2] and Jagapati Babu and Prakash Raj in supporting roles. The film was released worldwide on 1 April 2016.[3]

Plot

Guru Raj (Prakash Raj) the man of the masses, a powerful business man of Charminar Group of Companies who runs his own gang as a mafia don. He has 3 sons elder one Kaali (Jagapathi Babu), second one Gopi (Vadde Naveen) and the last one is Radha Krishna / Radha (Manchu Manoj). All his 3 sons are his backbone. Valli (Surabhi) who loves Radha tries to drag him away from these issues. Guru Raj was brutally killed by some unknown gangsters while visiting a temple, his family is completely upset this incident and makes them clueless about the motive behind this attack. Kaali decides to take revenge against the real culprits behind his father’s death. He starts digging out the possible reasons and motive for this attack and people involved and planned. Everyone starts going opposite them. Unfortunately, Kaali is also killed in unusual circumstances. After these incidents, Radha decides to take revenge on the people behind these attacks and responsible for his father and elder brother’s death. Finally, he solve the murders & takes revenge.

Production

Filming

The film was officially launched on 20 February 2015 and its regular shoot has started from next day.[5] Some important scenes of the film are being shot in a RTO office in Hyderabad.[3]

Casting

It is second time team up for Jagapati Babu with Ram Gopal Varma after his blockbuster film Gaayam in 1993 and it is the Manchu Manoj’s first time team up with Ram Gopal Varma and [5] second time team up with jagapati babu after the Current Theega.[1]Vadde Naveen making his comeback in this film with a crucial role.[6]Beeruva fame Surabhi has been roped in this film as the lead actress.[2]

Release

The first motion poster of Attack was released on 30 May 2015 [7] and the theatrical trailer was released on 31 May 2015.[8] The film was released on 1 April 2016.[9]
