Attaku Yamudu...Ammayiki Mogudu (English: Aunt's God of death....Daughter's husband) is a 1989 Telugu romantic action comedy film produced by Allu Aravind starring Chiranjeevi and Vijayashanti and was released on 14 January 1989. It was also a comeback for former heroine Vanisri, now relaunched in mother roles. The film was written and directed by A. Kodandarami Reddy.Later This film was a remade in Tamil as Maapillai starring Rajnikanth and in Hindi as Jamai Raja. The film has been successfully remade in several other Indian languages and also inspired similar themes.

Plot

Kalyan (Chiranjeevi) is a unemployed and do gooder. Rekha (Vijayashanti) is the loving daughter of arrogant businesswoman Chamundeswari (Vanisri). Kalyan one day ruins the engagement of Rekha's friend. Rekha later on falls in love with Kalyan as he does the same. Meanwhile, her mother Chamundeswari who's an arrogant lady rejects Kalyan's sister love with her son. Later Kalyan come to know Rekha is Chamundeswari daughter and decides to marry her. Chamundeswari takes her daughter to her house as Chiranjeevi enraged bets that he'll marry Rekha. They both have a clash between each other. How this clash ends and how Chiranjeevi wins back Vijayshanthi forms the rest of the story.It is a box office success
