Aurangabadi Mahal Sahiba (Persian: اورنگ آبادی محل) (died November 1688[1]) was the third and last wife of the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb. She was named Aurangabadi Mahal because she entered Aurangzeb's harem in the city of Aurangabad.
Biography
She gave birth to a daughter, Mehr-un-Nissa. Her daughter was married to Izad Bakhsh, younger son of Shahzada Murad Bakhsh at Delhi.
She died of Bubonic plague in October or November 1688, in the city of Bijapur. Her tomb is thus described by Manucci: "The king caused a magnificent tomb to be erected to the princess, provided with a dome of extraordinary height; the whole executed in marble brought expressly from the province of Ajmer." Her death removed the last rival of Aurangzeb's youngest and most loved concubine, Udaipuri Mahal, the mother of Muhammad Kam Baksh.
