Bafodeya is a genus of plants in the Chrysobalanaceae family described in 1976.[2][4]

There is only one known species, Bafodeya benna, native to tropical West Africa (Mali, Guinea, Sierra Leone).[3][5]

The species is listed as vulnerable.[1]
