Band of Voices

Band of Voices is an a capella singing group from Hemel Hempstead who reached the semi-finals of Britain's Got Talent in 2013. They are known for being backing vocalists.[1] They have worked with the likes of Take That, Lily Allen, Professor Green, Leona Lewis, Will Young. The group auditioned for Britain's Got Talent in January 2013, with their audition being aired on 18 May 2013, performing Jessie J’s Price Tag for the panel. The judges were impressed by their vocals especially judge Simon Cowell, who requested an encore. They obliged and sang "God Save the Queen". They received four yes votes from the judges and were put through to the next round, and subsequently the semi-finals. In the semi-final on 27 May, they performed "...Baby One More Time" with a new member after a member had to leave for personal reasons. They once again received praise from the judges, but finished in sixth place with 1.9% of the vote.

The group consists of Lloyd Wade, Andy Playfoot, Louise Bagan, Katie Holmes and Craig Stein. Wade had previously appeared on X Factor in 2004 as a contestant, and worked behind-the-scenes on the show in 2011 as a vocal coach. He also duetted with Eliza Doolittle on her single 'Pack Up' and appeared with her on TV and radio shows across Europe in 2010 and 2011.[2] Playfoot has worked as a backing singer on Pop Idol, X Factor, Britain's Got Talent and Grease Is the Word.[2]
