Baron Askeaton

Baron Askeaton, in the County of Limerick, was a title in the Peerage of Ireland. It was created on 18 March 1776 for Edward Spring, previously the Member of Parliament for Askeaton, with remainder to the heirs male of his body. He was the son of Francis Spring and a descendent of Thomas Spring of Castlemaine and the Suffolk Spring family. Lord Askeaton was succeeded by his only surviving son, also Edward. He died in 1792, at which point the title became extinct.
