Barry Henthorn is the co-founder and CEO of ReelTime.com, an Internet video on demand provider.[1]

Career

In 1990, Henthorn founded and served as CEO of Emerald City Telecommunications and formed Emerald City Cellular in 1992. The two companies merged to create Innovative Communications Technologies,[2] which creates and markets communications technologies. Henthorn became the CEO of the merged company and the creator of its new Global Private Telecommunications Networks. He currently serves as president of Henthorn Enterprises and CEO of Baristas Coffee Company. Barry Henthorn was named the “Most Innovative Public Company Leader” to watch in 2015 in Forbes Magazine and has been featured in numerous publications such as The New York Times, Seattle Times, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, Business Journal, and others. Henthorn was also featured as one of 12 Entrepreneurs of the Millennium in Washington CEO magazines Millennium edition.

Henthorn has also sat on advisory boards for U.S. corporations in industries including aerospace, law, accounting, international trade, espresso machine manufacturing, and travel.

NCAA Influence

After Henthorn provided room and board and academic support for college basketball player Jamal Crawford, the NCAA suspended Crawford for six games while it launched an investigation of Crawford for violating rules on amateurism. As a result of the exposure that the investigation received the NCAA vowed to revisit its criteria for and position on amateurism in college athletics.[3]
