Based on Evil is the debut album by Norwegian thrash metal band Tantara. It was released on August 24, 2012, on the Norwegian label Indie Recordings.
Background
Soon after recording Based on Evil with Flemming Rasmussen of Metallica fame, Tantara landed a contract with recording label Ultimhate Records[2] to release the album on March 23, 2012.[3] However, when the release date arrived, the album was nowhere to be found as Ultimhate Records had failed to release the album. The band parted ways with the label and signed a contract with Indie Recordings. The album was successfully released on 24 August 2012.
