Telmatobius brachydactylus is an endangered species of frog in the Telmatobiidae family.[1][2]
This semiaquatic frog is endemic to tributaries of Lake Junín (not in the lake itself) in central Peru, where it is found at altitudes of 4,000–4,600 m (13,100–15,100 ft). It is threatened by capture for human consumption.[1][3] Although a fairly large species, it is smaller than the closely related and equally threatened Lake Junin frog (B. macrostomus).
