The Bayfront Convention Center is a convention center complex located on the shores of Lake Erie's Presque Isle Bay. It offers breath taking views; provides high quality facilities, amenities, and services you need for your meeting, trade show or event. The center has a combined total of just under 100,000 square feet of meeting space including a 28,800-square-foot (2,680 m2) Great Hall with a seating capacity of 4,500 or 160 Trade Show Booths, and a 13,500-square-foot (1,250 m2) Grand Ballroom.[1] that accommodates 900 banquet seating.

The Bayfront Convention Canter is operated by the Erie County Convention Center Authority (ECCCA) and is among a family of four world-class convention facilities and entertainment venues: Warner Theater, Erie Insurance Arena, Jerry Uht Park, and Bayfront Convention Center.

The Bayfront Convention Center has two attached hotels. The Sheraton Erie Bayfront Hotel consisting of a total of 200 guest rooms; 1 suite and 29 club level rooms,5800 square feet of meeting space with views, is the #1 ranked Sheraton out of 200 North America Sheratons for guest satisfaction and food and beverage for their Bayfront Grille. It was newly renovated October 2015. The Courtyard Erie Bayfront consisting of a total of 192 guest rooms; 14 suites, and 9 rooms with Bayview balconies, 1300 square feet of indoor meeting space, 15,000 square feet of outdoor meeting space, an Anchor Plaza, Outdoor infinity pool, Shoreline Bar and Grille with handcrafted cocktails and lighter fare.

The center held an open house beginning on August 3, 2007. Local promotion continued with public tours during the annual Celebrate Erie festival 17–19 August 2007.[2] The first attached hotel to open; the Sheraton Erie Bayfront; was on April 10, 2008.[3] The Erie County Convention Center Authority opened its second attached hotel; The Courtyard Erie Bayfront; on June 23, 2016 and hosted a Grand Opening event on August 31, 2016.

Construction manager, Barton Malow completed the construction of the Sheraton Erie Bayfront project[4] which won the 2008 Build America Award from the Associated General Contractors of America.[5]
