Beckingen is a municipality in the district Merzig-Wadern, in Saarland, Germany. It is situated on the river Saar, approx. 7 km southeast of Merzig, and 30 km northwest of Saarbrücken.
Overview
Beckingen is a village outside of Merzig, there is an old train station which has been recently renovated. The village is covered in mountainous terrain and you can easily access a forest in the middle of the village as well as a local supermarche, there are festivals taking place in the Summer and you can travel via a bike or foot to the nearest small town of Dillingen.
