Big Brother 3 (Albania) is the third season of the Albanian series of the worldwide franchise of Big Brother. It launched on Saturday, 23 January 2010, with twelve Housemates entering the House. The winner, Jetmir Salaj received a 10,000,000 Leks (€75,000) prize. Big Brother 3 (Albania) aired on two cable channels 24 hours a day on the Digit-Alb cable network, as well as on two additional channels on DigitAlb Mobile. Daily reviews were shown Monday through Saturday on Top Channel. The eviction show aired on Saturdays at 21:00 CET, while a Sunday edition will close off the week. The main host is Arbana Osmani, while Eno Popi hosted the Sunday morning edition called Big Brother Albania Fans' Club, featuring dialogues with eliminated contestants and fans of the show. The Big Brother Forum also returned this year. This season will end up as the longest of all series running 113 days and ending on Saturday 15 May 2010.
Housemates
Ada
Ada Baqoshi is a 27-year-old from Bergamo, Italy. Ada was born in Tirana, the capital of Albania. Ada entered the house on Day 22 with Klodian and Rrezarta at the end of the Live Show. Ada became the eighth housemate to be evicted from the Big Brother Albania 3 on Day 57.
Armand
Armand is a 34-year-old Bar Manager from Tirana, Albania. Mandi entered the house on Day 57 at the end of the Live-Show. Armand became the sixteenth housemate to be evicted from the Big Brother Albania 3 on Day 106 with 41% of votes.
Bertina
Bertina Mehmeti is 25-year-old girl from Delvina, Albania. She entered Big Brother on Day 1. She started a love story there with Erion Zeqiraj.Bertina became the ninth housemate to be evicted from Big Brother Albania 3 on Day 64 with 33% of votes.
Bledar
Bledar Decani is a 36-year-old from Elbasan, Albania currently living in Köln, Germany. Bledar entered the house on Day 22 with Valon. Bledar became the fifth housemate to be evicted from the house on Day 43 with 52% of the votes.
Domenika
Domenika Çaushaj is a 24-year-old from Firenze, Italy. Domenika is Valentina's daughter who entered the house the same Day with her daughter on Day 1. On Day 106 Domenika became the first finalist of the series. Domenika finished as the runner-up on Day 113.
Eduard
Eduard Pajo is a 37-year-old hairdresser from Tirana, Albania. Eduard entered the house on Day 1. Eduard became the tenth housemate to be evicted from the house on Day 71 with 46% of votes.
Eridiona
Eridiona Shuli is 24-year-old, born in Librazhd and now lives and works in Tirana, Albania. Eridiona entered the house on Day 78. Eridiona became the seventeenth housemate to be evicted from the Big Brother Albania 3 on Day 113.
Erion
Erion Zeqiraj is a 25-year-old volleyball player from Tirana, Albania. He entered the house on Day 1. He started a showmance with Bertina. Erion finished in third place.
Graciela
Graciela Kiri is a 27-year-old police woman from Shkodër, Albania. Graciela entered the house on Day 1. Graciela's mother died in 2007 from cancer. Her father is blind, he has never seen Graciela. She used to work in local media, but for economic reasons she was forced to look for a job in law enforcement. Her boyfriend is Ergys, one of her coworkers. She has a sister in Italy. She entered the Big Brother Albania house for financial reasons. Graciela became the fourth housemate to be evicted from Big Brother Albania 3 on Day 36 with 42% of votes.
Gjimi
Gjimi Bujari is a 29-year-old directors assistant from Stavanger, Norway. Gjimi entered the house on Day 1. He was married but is now living with his girlfriend Elizabet. He is originally from Milot, Albania. On Day 13, Gjimi repeatedly stated that he wasn't feeling well. Eventually production decided it would be best for Gjimi to be taken to a hospital in order to see if anything was seriously wrong with him. As it turned out Gjimi needed surgery and would not be able to return to the house.[1]
Haki
Haki Kika is a 34-year-old radio DJ from Pristina, Kosovo. Haki entered the house on Day 1. Haki became the fifteenth housemate to be evicted from Big Brother 3 on Day 99 with 52% of votes.
Jetmir
Jetmir Salaj is a 26-year-old from Vlorë, Albania. Jetmir became the winner of Big Brother Albania 3 on Day 113. He returned as a guest in Big Brother 5 (Albania) showing the public the house.
Klodian
Klodian Çela is a 35-year-old from Milan, Italy. Klodian entered the house on Day 22 with Rrezarta and Ada at the end of the Live-Show. He is the first openly homosexual male to enter in Big Brother Albania. Klodian finished in fourth place.
Manal
Manal Al-Khazal is a 21-year-old from Pristina, the capital of Kosovo. Manal lived for 16 years in Jordan and since 5 years in Pristina. Her Father is an Arab from Jordan and her Mother an Albanian from Skopje. Manal entered the house on Day 57 with Tatiana. Manal became the thirteenth housemate to be evicted from Big Brother Albania 3 on Day 92 with 43% of votes.
Pamela
Pamela Zyferi is a 23-year-old from Tirana, Albania. Pamela entered the house on Day 1. Pamela became the second housemate to be evicted from Big Brother Albania 3 on Day 22 with 38% of votes.
Olta
Olta Sheta is a 22-year-old student from Tirana, Albania. She entered the house on Day 1. Olta became the eleventh housemate to be evicted from Big Brother Albania 3 on day 78 with 42% of votes.
Renato
Renato is a 23-year-old from Tirana, Albania. Renato entered the house on Day 15 at the end of the Live-Show. Renato became the third housemate to be evicted from Big Brother Albania 3 on Day 29 with 29% of votes.
Rrezarta
Rrezarta Gashi is a 21-year-old student from Pristina, the capital of Kosovo. Rrezarta entered the house on Day 22 with Ada and Klodian at the end of the Live-Show. Rrezarta became the sixth housemate to be evicted from Big Brother Albania 3 on Day 50 with 39% of votes.
Seldi
Seldi Qalliu is a 23-year-old singer from Tirana, Albania. Seldi entered the house on Day 1. Seldi became the fourteenth housemate to be evicted from Big Brother 3 on Day 99 with 42% of votes.
Tatiana
Tatiana Sandei is a 25-year-old waitress from Genoa, Italy. At age of 14, she fell in love with an Albanian boy and since then she has tried to learn the Albanian language. Tatiana entered the house on Day 57 with Manal. Tatiana became the twelfth housemate to be evicted from Big Brother 3 on Day 85 with 38% of votes.
Valentina
Valentina Xhemaili is a 49-year-old from Tirana, Albania. Valentina is Domenika's mother and entered the house on Day 1. Valentina became the first housemate to be evicted from Big Brother 3 on Day 15 with 70% of votes.
Valon
Valon Xhukolli is a 20-year-old from Pristina, the capital of Kosovo. Valon entered the house on Day 22 with Bledar. Valon became the seventh housemate to be evicted from Big Brother Albania 3 on Day 57 with 42% of votes.
Controversies
This season of Big Brother had a lot of controversies starting from Klodian's coming out as gay. In one of the Saturday's shows there was shown a clip for both the housemates and the public of Klodian in the diary room telling that he was gay. Arbana called Klodian in the diary room to talk more about his sexual orientation. When he came out of the diary room all the housemates hugged him and told him that they would support him. But this thing didn't happen for some of the housemates, especially with Valon who claimed to be a homophobic and said that all the Albanians are as well. Two weeks after Klodian came out, in his hometown, Lezhë there were people protesting to Big Brother cast to draw Klodian out of the house. Klodian survived a lot of risks to be evicted and some people think that the voting may have been rigged to keep Klodian in the house until the situation in his hometown calm down. Also the American Ambassador and the European one showed their support to Klodian's family. The reactions from the magazines and the press were in the support of Klodian.[2][3][4]
Right after the start of the fifth season of Big Brother Albania on Top Channel, the hostess of the show, Arbana Osmani made some really harsh comments about the cast of the housemates of the third season. Asked during an interview about which cast of housemates of which season she disliked the most, Osmani answered that she totally disliked and hated the cast of the third season because she thought that each and every one of the housemates of the third season were totally false and had no personality whatsoever. Osmani went on to say that Klodian Çela, according to her, was one of the worst people she had ever met and said that Çela used his homosexuality to make people feel bad about him. However, these comments weren't left unanswered by the other side. Shortly after the interview was published, Tatiana Sandei, one of the housemates of this season, stormed back at Osmani's comments defending herself, the cast of the third season and Klodian Çela, meanwhile Çela himself claimed to have been used by the production for his homosexuality and offended the hostess by making explicit comments. Klodian also claimed that the production of Big Brother offered to pay him just because he outed himself during the show although the payment was never made.[5]

Notes:
^1 In round five of nominations all female housemates were given immunity by Big Brother.
^2 In round eight of nominations, all housemates that had been up for eviction in the previous round of nominations were asked to save one of the six that had not been up for eviction. Ada was the only housemate not to be saved and was thus automatically nominated for eviction. Following the vote she was told to nominate two housemates that would be nominated with her. Ada chose to nominate Bertina and Eduard.
^3 In round ten of nominations, all housemates apart from Eduard and Manal were split up into groups of three. Each person in the three groups was asked to nominate one person in their respective group that would join Eduard and Manal in being nominated for the next eviction.
^4 In round eleven of nominations, each housemate had to open one of nine envelopes, one of which contained the power to keep one housemate from earning exemption. Seldi chose the envelope containing the power to prevent someone from exemption and chose to give it to Eduard. As the last housemate to pick, Domenika was able to give either herself immunity or another housemate. She gave the immunity to Seldi.
^5 In the final round of nominations, the housemates were each asked to name one person they wanted to see in the finals. The housemate who received the most votes was then immune from the final eviction. As Domenika received the most votes she automatically advanced to the final.
