Bizarro Classic (also known as Superman Classic: Bizarro) is a 2012 animated fan film made by Robb Pratt, and is the sequel to Pratt's 2011 fan film Superman Classic.[1]

Plot

On a cold winter night, a figure resembling Superman flies into Metropolis and causes panic by leveling a skyscraper. Meanwhile, at the Daily Planet building, Clark Kent and Lois Lane are arguing over her suspicions of Clark being Superman when the imposter is seen outside their window. With Lois distracted, Clark rushes out of the office and changes into Superman to confront the imposter.

Cast

Production

Bizarro Classic was produced by Robb Pratt in response to the critical acclaim he received for Superman Classic. According to Pratt, he chose to animate Bizarro to "create a 'Superman for the Ages' idea that doesn't commit to any particular era, but instead exists in a more classic, timeless setting." It took over 2,000 sheets to animate the two-minute film.

John Newton and his wife Jennifer reprised their roles as Clark Kent and Lois Lane, respectively. John also voiced Bizarro; for this role, he read his single line backwards, and the recording was flipped digitally to give the effect of Bizarro's voice.

Like the first film, Bizarro Classic utilizes the score from the 1948 Superman serial composed by Mischa Bakaleinikoff. In addition, the film uses Leon Klatzkin's score from the 1950s TV series Adventures of Superman.

Reception

Much like Superman Classic, Bizarro Classic received a positive reception from the fans.
