Black City Parade is the twelfth studio album by French band Indochine. It was released on February 8, 2013, in France,[1] peaking at #1 on both French and Belgian Albums Charts,[2] as well as being certified Platinum in France.

Promotion

The song "Kill Nico" was premiered during the "Paradize + 10" concerts that took place before the release of the album.[3]

The first single released from the album was "Memoria", on November 15, 2012.

The second single from the album was "College Boy", on May 13, 2013, the video of which attracted a lot of attention due to its heavy graphic violence pointing at homophobia.[4]

The third single from the album is "Black City Parade".[5]

The album has so far reached Platinum status in France for shipment of 100,000 copies.[6]

The album is supported by the massive, multi-legged "Black City Tour".[7]

The album is also accompanied by an almost-two-hour documentary, as the band has let a film crew shoot the whole process of the creation of the album, from demoing to rewriting to recording to mixing to planning the tour, etc.[8]

Most of the album is mixed by Shane Stoneback.[9]
