Blackwater Creek Preserve is a 1,993-acre (807 ha) conservation area in Hillsborough County, Florida. It includes pine flatwoods, cypress domes and riverine habitat along Blackwater Creek. Wildlife in the area include deer, turkey, Sherman’s fox squirrels (Sciurus niger shermani), gopher tortoises, dusky pigmy rattlesnakes, and Eastern bluebirds.[1] It was acquired under ELAPP.[2] The preserve includes trails.[3]
