Bloom is a Young Enterprise company founded in 2013 that takes part in the mobile application and industry and also produces phone holders. It is the second largest Young Enterprise company in the world according to Facebook statistics. The company was founded by nine people with the lead of Blanka Csizmadia, the corporation's CEO.[2]
Founding and early days
Bloom was founded on September 6, 2013 within the walls of Alternative High School located in Budapest. The school is famous for being the number one private school according to an educational website named Eduline.[3] The company's first product was a basic phone holder, which had been developed during the month of main processing. The holder was created by cutting the edges of a recycled shampoo bottle and was decorated with design plasters. Today, the company sells the holders via an online store. Bloom's mobile application was released in October 2013, with a basic function of a changing flower in sync with the device's battery percentage. The company added an upload function later where users can send drawings which change with the same method as the flower.
Attention by the media
During the year 2014, Bloom had a large media attention in Hungary - the most enthusiastic response about the company was an article with a title "You have never charged your phone like this before - a fantastic idea developed by Hungarian students".[4] This big interest can be explained with the rareness of Young Enterprise companies located in Hungary[5] - although the Hungarian Young Enterprise Foundation was formed in the year of 1994.[6]
