Bob Smiley

Bob Smiley (born June 28, 1977 in Ventura, California) is a TV writer, golf blogger, contributor to espn.com's golf coverage and author of the 2008 book Follow the Roar.[1] ...

Fore Right Blog

Smiley's golf blog began in June 2007 and takes a satirical look at the world of golf, with emphasis on the professional ranks. Most of the content is 100% fabricated, though he will occasionally post personal stories or anecdotes.

TV career

Smiley spent four years at the TV sitcom Yes, Dear on CBS, joining the writing staff in his third season. In 2007 he wrote for the short-lived Fox News Channel Show 1/2 Hour News Hour.

Follow The Roar

In 2008, Smiley followed Tiger Woods from the gallery for the entirety of Woods' season and wrote a memoir about the adventure. Smiley came up with the idea after following Tiger for the second round of the Target World Challenge in December 2007. Smiley wrote an article for espn.com about the round, in which Tiger shot a tournament-record 62.
