The Boston Major is an upcoming professional Dota 2 eSport tournament that will take place in Boston.[1] The main event will take place at Wang Theatre from December 7–10, 2016. Like other tournaments in the Dota 2 Major Championship series, the event will feature 16 teams from around the world and have a $3,000,000 prize pool.[2] The event will be hosted and produced by PGL eSports, who also had the same role at the previous Major in Manila.[3]

Unlike previous Dota 2 Majors, the Boston Major will be the first one to have a single elimination bracket.[4]
