Box8 is an Indian on-demand food delivery company based in Mumbai, considered the pioneer of the compact all-in-one meal box in India.[1][2] The company was founded by Amit Raj and Anshul Gupta in 2012.[3] At present Box8 has 60 stores in Mumbai, Pune and Bangalore.[4]

History

In May 2015, Box8 raised $3.5 million in a first round of funding from venture capital firm Mayfield.[5] Prior to the investment by Mayfield, Box8 had received funding from Kaushal Aggarwal of Avendus Capital, Dhiraj Rajaram of MuSigma, and the Indian Angel Network.
