Bread dildo

The bread dildo (Greek: olisbokollix)[1] is a dildo prepared using bread.[1][2] The bread dildo was also made in the Greco-Roman era around 2,000 years ago using breadsticks, which has been referred to as the breadstick dildo.[2]

History

The bread dildo dates back to the fifth century A.D. in Greece, at which time the device was mentioned in Greek texts.[1][3] These texts were first discovered in 1986 by professor Alexander Oikonomides.[1] The existence of the bread dildo was further confirmed by professor Oikonomides, who found paintings on vases of women carrying baskets of "phallus-shaped loaves".[1]

Etymology

The Ancient Greek term kollix used in Ancient Greek texts refers to bread, and the term olisbokollix was found by professor Oikonomides in a classical Greek lexicon "written in the fifth century A.D."[1][4]
