Bright Ideas Trust

Bright Ideas Trust (BIT) is a registered charity founded by former The Apprentice winner Tim Campbell, established to help people aged 16-30 build their own businesses.

As of January 2013, Bright Ideas Trust is a delivery partner of the Government's Start Up Loans Scheme.

Target group

The charity was established to encourage young people, particularly from disadvantaged backgrounds, to get involved in enterprise.

It provides business support, mentoring and funding to 16- to 30-year-olds in London who are not in employment, education or training (NEET). [1]

Charitable activities

Despite being a charity, Bright Ideas Trust does not give away grants but instead uses a commercial venture capital approach to its investments by taking equity stakes in the business and issuing loans. [2]
