Brough is a hamlet in Nottinghamshire, England. It is located 5 miles to the north of Newark on Trent, on the A46 Fosse Way. Population details are included in the civil parish of Collingham. It was the site of the Roman town of Crococalana, which grew around a military fort of the 1st century. The town spread along the Fosse way for about a mile, and had ditched defences.[1]
