Carlos "Carlinhos" Gracie Jr. is a Brazilian 8th-degree red and white belt jiu-jitsu practitioner and instructor.[1] A member of the Gracie family, he is the son of Carlos Gracie, and first cousin to the Machado family brothers.
Gracie is the founder of the Confederação Brasileira de Jiu-Jitsu (CBJJ), also known as International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation (IBJJF), which runs multiple jiu-jitsu tournaments around the world, including the World Jiu-Jitsu Championship, Pan American Championship and European Championship. He is also a co-founder of the well-known Gracie Barra team.
Gracie is also the creator and director of Gracie Magazine, a monthly Brazilian jiu-jitsu publication.
Personal
Carlinhos is one of twenty-one children fathered by Brazilian jiu-jitsu co-founder Carlos Gracie.[2] He has three children; daughter Caroline, son Kayron, and son Kyan.[3][4] Kayron is a black belt under his father and is an instructor at the Gracie Barra Mission Viejo.[5]
