Catherine Chalmers, born in San Mateo, California in 1957, is an American artist.

She graduated from Stanford University with a B.S. in Engineering, and from the Royal College of Art, with an M.F.A. in Painting.

She has exhibited at MASS MoCA,[1] Corcoran Gallery of Art,[2] Yerba Buena Center for the Arts,[3] Museum of Contemporary Photography,[4] the University Art Museum of CSU Long Beach;[5] and Boise Art Museum.[6]

Her work has appeared in the New York Times,[7] ArtNews,[8] Blind Spot,[9] Harper's,[10] and Discover.[11] Her work has been featured on PBS,[12] and This American Life.[13] She lives and works in New York City.
