Chip-scale atomic clock
The Chip-Scale Atomic Clock (CSAC) is a United States Army program to manufacture a microchip-sized prototype atomic clock, in order to provide location and battlespace situational awareness for dismounted soldiers even without a global positioning system capability.[1]
