Choji Taira (平良 朝治, born 30 November 1960) is a Japanese male former weightlifter, who competed in the 67.5 kg category and represented Japan at international competitions. He won the silver medal in the clean & jerk at the 1984 World Weightlifting Championships lifting 172.5 kg. He participated at the 1984 Summer Olympics in the 67.5 kg event and also at the 1988 Summer Olympics in the 67.5 kg event.[1]
